Good to know

Is my video uploaded?
No. Your video is recorded and kept in your own browser, on the device you used, so only you can watch it back. The sound of your answers is sent to be turned into text, and then deleted. We keep the transcript and your feedback so you can track your progress. Browsers can clear saved recordings on their own (Safari can after 7 days without use), so don’t rely on us to keep them.
How are my answers marked?
Your spoken answer is transcribed, then marked by AI against what a strong answer to that type of question includes: for “Tell me about a time…” questions, a clear situation, what you did yourself and the result. Your pace, filler words and pauses are measured from the transcript’s timings, and eye contact, framing and light are checked on your device. You can switch off delivery or eye-contact feedback in your Account. How marking works.
Is it like a real one-way video interview?
Yes: a question appears, you get thinking time, then you record an answer against the clock, with no interviewer on screen. Unlike the real thing, you can retake an answer up to 3 times while you practise, and add 30 seconds once per answer.
What happens in a live interview?
An AI interviewer asks you questions from our question bank and may ask up to 2 follow-up questions about what you said, as a real interviewer might. You can ask it to repeat a question, answer out loud or by typing, or skip a question. Captions show everything it says. It’s set up not to give feedback during the interview: you get feedback on each question afterwards. There’s no overall clock; take your time, with up to 5 minutes for each reply.
Does the AI decide whether I’d get the job?
No. The feedback is practice guidance to help you improve. It isn’t a prediction of any employer’s decision, and we never share your results with employers.
Can I have more time?
Yes. In your Account you can choose standard time, one and a half times, double time, or no clock at all (up to 10 minutes an answer). Our accessibility statement lists the other settings.
What do I need?
A laptop or phone with a camera and microphone, a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and a quiet room. Headphones help if you’re sharing a space.
Can I cancel Pro?
Paid plans aren’t on sale yet. Once they open, yes: you’ll be able to cancel Pro at any time, from your Account page, and keep it until the end of the month you’ve paid for, without being charged again. The season pass will be a single payment that never renews, so there’s nothing to cancel.
I’m a Deeplink Coaching student. Do I pay?
No: it’s included in your Deeplink Coaching programme at no extra cost. Open Deeplink Interview from Deeplink Learn (“Practise interviews”) and you get student access for 30 days, renewed each time you come in from Learn.
