About this statement

This statement applies to Deeplink Interview, at interview.deeplink.uk. Our Terms give the details of the company that runs it.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use Deeplink Interview. For example, you should be able to:

• change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings;
• zoom in up to 400% on most pages without having to scroll sideways;
• get around the website using just a keyboard;
• use most of the website with a screen reader (see the known issues below);
• practise without a clock, or with extra time;
• turn off animations.

We’ve also tried to make the text as simple as possible to understand.

Settings that can help

Timing, eye-contact and delivery settings are on your Account page. The live-interview settings are on the live interview’s set-up screen, and under More options during the interview.

• Timing. Choose standard time, one and a half times, double time, or no clock at all (up to 10 minutes an answer). This applies to thinking time and answer time.
• Add 30 seconds. While you answer a video question, you can add 30 seconds once.
• Retakes. Retake a video answer up to 3 times.
• No overall clock in live interviews. Take as long as you need to think. Each reply can be up to 5 minutes; when about 30 seconds are left, a message shows and is read out by screen readers.
• Type instead of speaking. In a live interview you can type an answer instead of saying it, or skip a question.
• Captions. In a live interview, captions show every line the interviewer says. You can also ask the interviewer to repeat or rephrase a question.
• Turn the interviewer’s voice off. Its lines are then shown, and read by your screen reader if you use one, and you press I’m ready to answer when you want to start. The same happens if the voice can’t play on your device.
• Choose how your answer ends. By default, the interviewer notices when you’ve stopped talking (after about 2½ seconds, or 4½ if you choose the longer pause), and waits a few seconds more, so you can press I wasn’t finished or simply carry on talking. You can turn this off and always press I’ve finished answering instead, and press I’m still thinking to hold it while you think.
• Turn off eye-contact feedback. If looking at a camera isn’t comfortable or possible for you, switch this off. Eye contact is then not measured at all.
• Turn off delivery feedback. If feedback on pace, filler words and pauses doesn’t suit you (for example, if you stammer), switch it off. We then don’t keep, score or show it.
• Pause animations. Use the Pause animations button to stop the moving background and other animations. If your device is set to reduce motion, we respect that too: the opening animation is skipped and the background stays still.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of Deeplink Interview are not fully accessible yet:

• Screen readers during a live interview. Anything your screen reader says while you’re answering can be picked up by your microphone and added to your answer, or even end it. Please wear headphones. (When you press I’m ready to answer, the microphone starts listening a moment later, so the button your screen reader reads out isn’t recorded.) With the interviewer’s voice on, your screen reader may also talk over it; turning the voice off avoids this.
• The recording of a whole live interview has no captions. Each answer’s conversation is shown in text below it in your report, and each video practice answer has captions made from your transcript.
• Automatic end of an answer. The few seconds to say “I wasn’t finished” (or just carry on talking) aren’t announced by screen readers. If this is a problem, turn off Notice when I stop talking; the set-up screen suggests this for screen reader users.
• Background noise (a cough, or someone else talking) can count as starting your answer, so Repeat that then asks you to confirm first.
• Real screen readers. We’ve tested with automated checks and by recording what the page tells assistive technology, but not yet with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack on real devices.
• Zoom. At 400% zoom, or on a phone turned sideways, the buttons at the bottom of a live interview stay in the page rather than staying on screen, so you may need to scroll to them.
• Tables in our Terms and Privacy Notice need scrolling sideways on small screens.

We are committed to making Deeplink Interview accessible. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA, as our standard.

Compliance status

Deeplink Interview is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, because of the issues listed under “How accessible this website is”. We’re working on fixes for them.

Content that’s outside our control

Deeplink Interview uses your browser’s camera, microphone and built-in speech voices. How these work with assistive technology depends partly on your device and browser.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We check Deeplink Interview against WCAG 2.2 AA when we make changes, and we’re fixing the issues above as part of our current round of work. We’ll update this statement as we fix them.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 27 September 2026. It was last reviewed on 28 September 2026.

Deeplink Interview was last tested in September 2026, in three rounds of our own review against WCAG 2.2 AA, including the live interview. They used automated checks (axe-core) and manual checks of keyboard use, focus, status messages, colour contrast, zoom and reflow, on desktop and phone screen sizes.
