Study plans
Interview study
A day-by-day route through the practice, for the interview you have coming up. Each day takes 30 to 45 minutes: coding challenges in your browser, and questions to answer out loud. Tick things off as you go, and pick up where you left off.
Free to follow. The coding challenges need no account; practising questions out loud needs a free account.
The plans

- 10 days
Two-week SQL interview plan

Advanced SQL interview plan
Ten more days for after the first SQL plan: clean keys, empty days, clashes, medians, streaks and matching records.
- 10 days
Two-week Python and pandas plan
Ten days, about 35 minutes a day, from grouping and reshaping to APIs, checking records and balances over time.
- 20 days
Four-week data analyst interview plan
Twenty days: SQL and pandas, technical and case questions out loud, and a mock interview each week.
- 20 days
Four-week data engineer interview plan
Twenty days: SQL and Python, pipelines, data modelling and design questions, and a mock interview each week.
- 7 days
One-week graduate interview plan
Seven days, 30 minutes a day: you, your examples, your strengths and two mock interviews.
- 7 days
Graduate second-round interview plan
Seven days for the next round: why this sector, how it makes money, judgement calls, harder examples and a live mock.
How the plans work
A little every day,
Practice spread over several days sticks better than one long evening before the interview. Each plan follows the parts of that interview, and each day builds on the one before.
Pick your plan
Choose the plan for the interview you have coming up. If it’s soon, start with the days on what you find hardest.
One day at a time
30 to 45 minutes: a coding challenge or two in your browser, and a question to answer out loud with the timer running.
Tick it off
Challenges you solve tick themselves on this device, and so do questions you practise while signed in. Tick anything else yourself.
End with a mock
The longer plans end each week with a full mock interview, on video or live, so you can see your feedback change as you practise.
